This year we are celebrating the Salvation Army’s presence in Ipswich for the last 140 years!
One of the highlights of our 140th anniversary celebrations will be our Anniversary Weekend on 2nd and 3rd November.
We’ve got a great weekend planned. On Saturday 2nd, we’ll have a Big Breakfast and ‘140 years of Ipswich Citadel’ exhibition from 9:00 to 11:30am, followed by a Bonfire Social Evening at 7:00pm.
On Sunday 3rd, our morning meeting will be led by Major Howard Russell, our Divisional Commander, at 10:30am. In the evening, we will be joined by other churches for a united service at 6:30pm.
Everyone is most welcome!
Fancy a breakfast bap and a fascinating look at our past? Get yourself down to Ipswich Citadel in the morning for bacon/sausage baps (meat or vegan), hot/cold drinks and the chance to view our heritage display full of photos and memorabilia.
9:00-11:30am
In the evening, Ipswich Citadel presents our 140th celebration Bonfire Social Evening with fun (games, challenges, quizzes), food (filled jacket potatoes) and fire (all fully risk-assessed!)
Free entry – tickets available at no cost to give an idea of numbers. See poster for details.
